Frances Bean Cobain, the only child of Courtney Love and the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, has made the foray into modelling and recently posed for the acclaimed designer-turned-photographer Hedi Slimane, reports OnTheRedCarpet.com.
Appearing older than her 19-years, Cobain looks intensely down the camera lens in the series of black and white shots. In one of the snaps, Frances is shown smoking against a chain fence while leaning against a ripped American flag. Other shots reveal her series of tattoos, one of which reads, "L'art est la Solution du Chaos". Frances worked as an intern for Rolling Stone magazine from June to August 2008 - she later provided guest vocals for the band Evelyn Evelyn. In July 2010, she released her debut collection of artwork under the pseudonym 'Fiddle Tim' at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. Her recent foray into modelling has also seen Cobain pose for fashion photographer Rocky Scenck in a series of 50's movie star themed shots.
Frances has always had a strained relationship with her mother Courtney, who lost custody of her in 2009. In August 2010, the 19-year-old reportedly inherited more than a third of her late father's estate.
