Parliament and Funkadelic star Cordell Mosson has died at the age of 60.

The bass player, guitarist and singer was a member of George Clinton's funk band from 1972 until the group disbanded in the early 1980s. He went on to perform with the P-Funk All-Stars.

Mosson performed on classic tracks like One Nation Under a Groove and Mothership Connection, and he was one of 16 members of the band to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.

No cause of death has been announced.
