British rocker Jo Dunne has died aged 43 after a battle with cancer.
The guitarist passed away at St Mary's Hospice in Birmingham, England on Friday night (26Oct12) after a short illness.
Dunne rose to fame as part of all-girl rock group We've Got a Fuzzbox and We're Going to Use it, also known as just Fuzzbox, in the 1980s and had hits with tracks including Love is the Slug and Pink Sunshine.
Dunne's sister and bandmate Maggie tells the Bbc, "Jo is one of the very few female guitarists in this country that had any recognition and any success. People from other bands admired her eccentric style... I want everyone to remember her for being so brave at the end."
The band split in 1990 but reunited in 2008 and 2010.
