Warring rock brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher were forced to put their differences aside and reach out to each other last Christmas (11) on the orders of their mother.

The pair fell out in 2009 when a bust-up at a gig in Paris, France led to the disbanding of their rock group Oasis.

Noel and Liam went on to work on different projects after the split and they have barely spoken to each other since.

However, Noel reveals their mother staged an intervention last Christmas (11) and ordered the boys to put the bad blood behind them over the holiday season.

He tells British Tv host Alan Carr, "Me and Liam have not spoken. I'm busy. We did text each other last Christmas because our mam (mum) made us."
