British rocker Noel Gallagher has settled a long-running property dispute with TUBULAR BELLS musician Mike Oldfield, after reportedly accepting a six-figure payout by the British composer. The Oasis guitarist bought a $4.8 million (GBP2.5 million) holiday home on the Spanish island of Ibiza from Oldfield in 1999, but soon afterwards discovered part of the property was slipping into the sea. Gallagher took legal action against Oldfield immediately, but he has only just won the resulting court case, being awarded a sum believed to run into six figures. A source told British newspaper The Sun, "It was nothing personal. But it's funny Noel has landed a small fortune from another major music star."
