The drama surrounding Garth Brooks' scrapped 2014 Irish dates has inspired a new play.
The country singer axed all of his five sold-out concerts at Croke Park near Dublin in July (14), following a dispute with locals and politicians, despite protests from fans - and now the whole ordeal is being made into a play, which will debut at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre later this year (15).
The plot will follow the events leading up to the cancellation of the gigs through the eyes of one of his biggest fans, played by actress Deirdre O'Kane.
