Rush rocker Geddy Lee will make a cameo appearance on hit U.S. comedy How I Met Your Mother in a special Canadian-themed episode.

The musician is among a number of Canadian celebrities who will appear on the show, which marks the return of the series' popular character Robin, a washed-up pop star who hails from the country.

Along with Lee, Growing Pains star Alan Thicke, Tv host Alex Trebek, and singer/songwriter k.d. Lang all make guest appearances with series regulars Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segel.

The episode will air in the U.S. on 4 February (13).
