Generation Game To Returnby Contributor | 04 April 2007
Classic TV game show The Generation Game is to return with its legendary host Bruce Forsyth at the helm.
UKTV Gold will screen the revamped show, known as The Generation Game: Then Again, later this year as part of the channel's new programming strategy.
Forsyth, known affectionately as 'Brucie', first hosted the show back in the 1970s and became famous for his phrases "Good game, good game" and "Didn't they do well?"
The popular series was also known for its iconic conveyor belt which carried prizes for people to remember.
After the cult Saturday night show was axed in 1981 both it and Forsyth returned in 1990 before Jim Davidson took over as host in 1994. It was axed once more in 2002.
Archive footage from the original show as well as new material will be used in the new series.
Commenting on his return to hosting the shows, Forsyth said he was "so looking forward to bringing back some wonderful memories".
Forsyth was most recently seen on screens in the BBC1 show Strictly Come Dancing as host alongside Tess Daly.
