Movie mogul George Lucas has pledged his support to the family of a desperately ill little girl named after one of his most iconic Star Wars characters.
Little Leah Esquenazi, who is nine months old, is suffering from an undiagnosed neurological condition that causes her body to shake uncontrollably and makes breathing difficult.
Her parents Francesca and Zev Esquenazi are huge Star Wars fans and have dubbed their brave baby Princess Leah - and Lucas has been so touched by their story he has offered up two memorabilia must-haves to help them raise the cash they need to pay for their daughter's ongoing medical care.
The filmmaker has handed the couple two Clone Wars helmets, signed by over 40 Star Wars actors, directors and celebrity fans, for a charity auction that ends on Monday (05Dec11).
