George Michael performed for the medics who helped save his life after he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia in November (11) when he returned to the stage in Austria on Tuesday night (04Sep12).
The Careless Whisper singer was forced to cut short a European tour in Vienna last year when he fell ill and he spent a month in intensive care at the city's General Hospital.
He picked up his rescheduled tour there on Tuesday and invited 300 doctors and nurses to his show.
Hours before he took to the stage for his first full concert since his hospitalisation, Michael posted on Twitter.com to acknowledge the hospital staff who helped save his life.
He wrote, "Hey everyone, it's that time again! And I get to open the tour singing to the men and women who saved my life. And it's a beautiful day!"
