Mel Gibson movies Braveheart, APOCALYPTO and The Patriot have all been named and shamed among the most historically inaccurate films ever made. The Gibson trio joins 2001: A Space Odyssey, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, 300, Gladiator, Memoirs Of A Geisha, 10,000 B.C. and Tom Cruise's The Last Samurai on Yahoo Movies' new online poll. Scenes featuring woolly mammoths in the desert (10,000 B.C.), Marcus Aurelius dying in a gladiatorial arena (Gladiator) and Mayan human sacrifices to Sun God Kulkulan (Apocalypto) are among the offending incorrect scenes.
