Gisele Bundchen wants her family to "pray" for her husband Tom Brady when he plays at the Super Bowl on Sunday (05.02.12).

The Brazilian model - who has been married to the NFL quarterback for three years - is keen for people to get behind her partner and his team New England Patriots in their iconic game against the New York Giants.

She wrote in an email seen by the New York Post newspaper: "My sweet friends and family. This Sunday will be a really important day in my husband's life. He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of winning this Super Bowl . . .

"So I kindly ask all of you to join me on this positive chain and pray for him, so he can feel confident, healthy and strong. Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this sunday.

"Thank you for your love and support. Love, G:)(sic)"

Tom - who has two-year-old son Benjamin with Gisele and four-year-old John with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan - previously told a rally in Massachusetts he was hopeful his team would have a lot to celebrate after the event, which will feature a half-time show by Madonna, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.

He said: "We're going down there, and were going down there for one reason ... hopefully we'll have a lot more people at our party next weekend."
