Renowned British actor SIR Ian McKellen has taken on an unusual cameo role - he is set to appear in U.K. rockers Guillemots new promo video. The Lord Of The Rings star fell in love with the Get Over It musicians after he was dragged to a concert in London by a youthful family member. And the Oscar-nominated star was so thrilled to discover the video for their upcoming single was set to be shot near his London home, he approached them for a cameo role - which he filmed last week (begs17Mar08). He says, "A young relative of mine, who's a fan of the Guillemots, took me along to a concert of theirs in London and I really took to them, I really liked the music. "I heard about this video for the new song, which I really like and I happen to have nothing better to do, and it's quite near home, so I dropped in, and here I am."
