Guns N' Roses have announced a string of UK tour dates.

The 'November Rain' rockers - who performed a huge sold out world tour last year - will return to Britain for six shows, beginning in Nottingham on November 19.

They then head to Liverpool and Newcastle, before going to Scotland to perform in Glasgow then returning to England for dates in Birmingham, Manchester and, finally, London's The O2.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday (02.03.12).

The tour announcement comes weeks after the group's guitarist DJ Ashba revealed working on new material is their ''main priority''.

He said: ''What I can say is making a new album absolutely is our main priority. And I cannot wait to get working on it.

''Axl Rose [singer] has tons and tons of stuff recorded as it is. I mean, he sits there in his hotel room and he'll play me hours of stuff. And I've written over ten songs - I think 12 songs now - for him that he really likes.''

Although he is unsure when they will go into the studio, DJ is positive the band - who notoriously took nearly 14 years and a number of line up changes to make their last album, 'Chinese Democracy' - will get working on it soon.

He added: ''I can't give anybody a definite date, because I'm not gonna give anybody false hope.

''But it's absolutely everybody's goal to get out an album within a reasonable amount of time.''
