Jeremy Renner's fantasy film Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters has narrowly toppled Wreck-It Ralph from the number one spot at the U.K. box office.
The fairytale-based film went head-to-head with the kids' animation over the weekend (01-03Mar13) and snatched the top spot with a narrow margin of around $160,000 (£100,000).
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' weekend takings brought in approximately $2.4 million (£1.5 million), while last weekend's (23-24Feb13) number one Wreck-It Ralph trails in second place with $2.3 million (£1.4 million).
The top five is rounded out by horror movie Mama ($1.6 million/£1 million) in third, followed by A Good Day to Die Hard ($1.3 million/£823,723) and Safe Haven ($1.3 million/£812,460) in fourth and fifth place respectively.
