Hanson - Hanson Join 'Save 100 Club' Campaign
Pop stars HANSON have thrown their weight behind the campaign to save London's legendary 100 Club - by playing a free gig at the venue.
The MMMBop hitmakers performed at the tiny underground club on Tuesday night (01Feb11) and made sure their loyal following caught the show by allowing fan club members to the front of the line.
Brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson agreed to play the concert as part of a campaign to save the venue, which has hosted pre-fame gigs by the Sex Pistols, The Jam, and Oasis.
The 100 Club, on Oxford Street, is under threat of closure due to soaring rents in central London. Stars including Sir Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood have called for the venue to be saved, and Sir Paul MCCartney played a sold-out show there in December (10) as part of the campaign.
