The producer of the Harry Potter movies has indicated he knows plot details for forthcoming book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Author Jk Rowling has already said that two characters will die in the final Harry Potter book, due to be published on July 21st, and speculation has been rife as to how the series will be drawn to a close.

At a London press conference promoting the latest film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, David Heyman admitted he "knew a little bit" about Deathly Hallows' plot.

"But even if I knew more, which I don't, there is no way that I would tell anyone anything," he said.

Heyman, who has produced each of the Harry Potter films, also revealed that Rowling had in the past hinted to the movie's writers which minor characters would play significant roles in the latter books.

"There was one character who the writers had dropped from a screenplay, but when we showed Jo she said it would be wise to put them back in.

"But I'm not going to tell you who that character is!" he added.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, also admitted he knew who the producer was talking about, but was equally unwilling to name names.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix goes on general release in the UK on July 12th.
