Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double has been seriously injured while filming the latest Harry Potter movie, reports claim.

The 25-year-old was hospitalised while shooting an aerial sequence at Leavesden Studios near Watford, where early test shots were being prepared for the film of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The Daily Mirror newspaper reports the stuntman was hurt after falling to the ground following an explosion that was part of the stunt sequence.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed a man in his 20s had been injured on set.

"Paramedics were called to Leavesden Studios after a man in his 20s sustained a significant back injury," he told the Press Association.

"He was stabilised at the scene and taken to Watford General Hospital."

The man has been transferred to another hospital while Warner Bros studios await news of his condition.
