Heather Mills McCartney is reported to be seeking access to the house she shared with her estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney.

The allegations are the latest in a long, high-profile and drawn-out divorce dispute between the pair.

Notes written on a pad of paper carried by Mills McCartney said "I am seeking an order for occupation of the matrimonial home".

In August when she turned up at the home with their daughter Beatrice she found that the locks on the house had been changed.

Hardly hidden from view, other notes on the pad included "continued access till divorce", "refused access if I have a court order" and "contempt of court".

Despite requests from the Beatles legend for the divorce to remain a dignified and private affair, media reports about the split have dominated newspapers for months.

Last month information from leaked divorce papers was printed in the press, including claims from Mills McCartney that Sir Paul was violent and cruel towards her.

As well suing a number of newspapers over "false, damaging and immensely upsetting" claims about her, Mills McCartney appeared on a US TV show recently seeking to defend her role in the marriage break-up.

Denying claims that she married him for his money, she told Extra: "85 per cent of my income goes to charity. The word gold digger doesn't go with that. If I was a gold digger, I would have a lot of money in my bank account."
