Hip-hop producer Araabmuzik is recovering in hospital after he was shot during an attempted robbery on Wednesday night (01May13).
The Dj, real name Abraham Orellana, was fired at in a botched theft and rushed to a medical facility. The shooting reportedly happened near his home in Providence, Rhode Island.
Rapper Avatar Darko was the first to reveal the drama, writing in a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, "(Pray) for my bro Araab! He just got shot but he'll be alright! He's strong! My lil brodi too trill! They tried to rob him and he ain't come up off his s**t so they tried get him outta there! He meant to be here!"
DukeDaGod, the musician's manager, posted a photo on Instagram.com photo of a group surrounding the star in a hospital bed and added, "Everyone wish my brother araabmuzik a healthy & pleasant recovery!!!!"
A representative for the musician tells Billboard.com, "We want to let everyone know that AraabMuzik is currently alive and well. He was out in his neighborhood last night with friends and unfortunately the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is recovering now and police are investigating the crime. We appreciate all the concern and fan support and Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can."
It is unknown where the attempted robbery took place.
