Rapper Crypt The Warchild has been diagnosed with cancer.
The OuterSpace hip-hop star, who has also performed with rap groups Jedi Mind Tricks and Army of Pharaohs, has been struck down with Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Announcing the news in a post on Facebook.com, he writes, "To all my family, friends and fans. I'd like to give everyone a heads up on what exactly it is that I am going through. January 27th I was diagnosed with Stage 3b Hodgkins Lymphoma (sic). I have been sick for a long time and really had no idea.
"I base my life on hard work and dedication to my family and friends. I would like to thank everyone for the support and genuine concern for my well being. F**k cancer, I will get through this. Thank you for everything."
The musician is staging a fundraiser in his native Philadelphia, Pennsylvania next week (06Apr13) to help offset the cost of his medical bills.
