Emile Hirsch found himself at the centre of a security breach at a recent New York event - after a man pretending to be the star sneaked past organisers before the actor arrived.
An unidentified man posing as the Milk star showed up with an entourage of eight and was ushered into a party at Manhattan's Webster Hall on Thursday night (30Jul09).
According to the New York Post, organisers went into a fury when Hirsch arrived - realising there had been a lapse in security.
A source says, "A publicist asked him (the impostor) if he wanted to walk the red carpet, but he said no and just went in."
A spokesperson for Hirsch did not respond to requests for comment as WENN went to press.
