High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens has settled a multi-million dollar lawsuit with a former producer who sued the singer/actress for breach of contract.
Johnny Vieira filed a $5 million (£2.5 million) lawsuit in Los Angeles in August (08), alleging he and Hudgens entered into a production agreement to launch the teenager's career and "share equally" in her potential success.
Vieira claims Hudgens then failed to honour the contract after she shot to fame in the hit Disney film in 2006.
But the case was dropped on Friday (01May09) just days before it was due to go to trial, with Hudgens' legal team announcing the suit had been settled amicably.
The star's lawyer tells TMZ.com, "My client appreciates Mr Vieira's efforts early in her recording career. We're glad to be able to resolve the issues in a mutually agreeable fashion."
No details of the settlement were revealed as WENN went to press.
