Iain Morris - Iain Morris wants Inbetweeners sequel
'The Inbetweeners Movie' writer Iain Morris would love to reunite with the film's cast for a sequel to the hit film, which broke box office records in 2011.
Iain Morris wants to make an 'Inbetweeners' sequel.
The screenwriter - who created the original TV series which ran from 2008 to 2010 and wrote the first film along with Damon Beesley - would love to reunite with the film's cast for a sequel to the 2011 hit comedy.
In an essay for UKTV's 'Leading Lights' e-book, he wrote: ''I can hardly believe it's been two years since we filmed 'The Inbetweeners Movie.'
''Damon and I would like to do a sequel, but if it doesn't happen, we might try to write a film, perhaps something about families, since most of the anecdotes we tell each other these days are about our families.''
He added: ''I miss working with Damon, and I miss the boys.
''They are four of the most talented comedic actors of their generation, and it would be wonderful to get another project going with them.''
'The Inbetweeners Movie' became the highest grossing British comedy of all time upon its release in 2011. The film earned over £13 million in its opening weekend alone.
