Rapper/actor ICE-T has fuelled his war of words with police officials following allegations he was caught driving on a suspended licence - he's blasted the cop union bosses who branded him "disrespectful" in a new online video rant.
Last week (20Jul10), officers stopped a car driven by the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star and his wife Coco when the couple was spotted not wearing seatbelts.
A subsequent search of police records suggested Ice-T had been temporarily banned from the road and he was booked and released for the minor motoring offence.
But the rapper, real name Tracy Marrow, slammed the accusations, writing on Twitter.com, "That (suspended licence) is some bulls**t they made up... Lie. For the record... My license is not suspended."
His rant infuriated officials at the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association (PBA), which represents police officers in New York City, and they hit back, calling the star "disrespectful".
But the comment has further riled Ice-T and he's posted a webcast video on his Twitter.com page to tell his "side of the story".
He says, "You have a chance to hear my side of the story... I got respect for cops when they get respect for me... If you disrespect me, why can't I disrespect you? (The officer) really stopped me for nothing...
"Everybody heard I called the cop a punk b**ch. The reason I did that was because he pretty much was a punk b**ch."
And the star alleges the cop in question threatened to tow his car away and accuse him of resisting arrest.
Ice-T adds, "As far as the cop, he didn't do anything wrong, but he shouldn't have been such an a**hole... Wait until you find a body in my trunk (to arrest me)."
