Iggy Pop Waives Gig Fee For Children's Charity
Punk rocker Iggy Pop is set to play a gig in aid of a children's charity this summer (07), and has waived his fee to benefit the kids.
The singer offered to perform for free at the Rock The House Live concert in Leeds, England, after The Children's Society used his song Lust For Life as the inspiration for a garden at Britain's prestigious Chelsea Flower Show earlier this month (May07).
And the singer insists giving up his time for the show is all for a good cause.
He says, "I'm getting a big kick out of making music for The Children's Society. All kids deserve a good childhood."
