Iggy Pop's Dad Upset By Glass Shattering Incident

Punk icon IGGY POP found himself in trouble with his father after one show early in his career - when he showered a fan with broken glass. The rocker's teacher father was in the audience at a Michigan show when his son broke a bottle over the microphone stand during a Stooges show. Pop recalls, "One girl who was particularly demonstrative in the front got a couple of minor cuts from the glass. She was holding her arms up in the spotlight. Blood was dripping down; she was screaming. "There was a little ruffle in the household over that, because it was written up in the paper."
