A music festival in India featuring Limp Bizkit, KT Tunstall and Anthrax has been cancelled due to heavy rain.

The Fly Music Festival was due to take place at two sites in Delhi and Bangalore on 16-17 February (13), but organisers have now confirmed the event has been called off due to a number of unforeseen problems, including weather-related issues in Delhi.

A statement from Percept Live, the company behind the festival, reads, "An initiative of this magnitude had its challenges that required time and consideration, which we sadly underestimated. Due to the extremely tight timelines between our announcement and the actual event, Fly Music Festival could not garner the reach and hype that an event of this stature required for successful execution. In addition the unseasonal rains in Delhi have caused delay in the massive production required... We have approximately 200 people from various bands flying in from across the globe for FLY Music festival and we cannot take a chance of them not being able to perform in a conducive environment..."

Organisers hope to reschedule the event.
