Iron Man 3 Becomes Most Pirated Film -- The Chinese Version

Iron Man 3 finally took the top spot on TorrentFreak's list of the most pirated movies of the week last week. But it was the version of the movie especially edited for China, with about four minutes of scenes not included in the version released domestically and in other countries. (It also features subtitles in Chinese.) For the past month a camcorded version of the blockbuster has placed in the top five, but the current one is designated an R6, meaning that it was derived from a DVD distributed in China -- and probably a high-quality one as well. A camcorded bootleg of Fast and Furious, which debuted in the U.K. and Ireland last week also made the top ten (at No. 4). It hits U.S. screens next weekend. In addition A Good Day to Die Hard also hit the list of most-pirated films for the first time at No. 2. So did a camcorded version of Star Trek Into Darkness at No. 10. And a high-quality version of Warm Bodies debuted on the shady list at No. 3.
