The organiser of Britain's upcoming Isle of Wight Festival has assured fans Bon Jovi's headline set will go ahead as planned despite Richie Sambora's recent exit.

The band was rocked when the guitarist quit the group's North American tour this month (Apr13), citing "personal reasons" for stepping down.

Bon Jovi has played on without Sambora, and Isle of Wight Festival boss John Giddings has now spoken out to assure fans they won't be disappointed when the band headlines the big gig.

He tells Britain's Daily Star newspaper, "I'm certain they'll play the same set. More than one person is capable of playing the guitar; it's hard to replace a singer."

The band will play at the festival on 16 June (13).
