Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman is working on a plan to turn the Baywatch franchise into a new movie comedy.
The movie mogul has revealed there's a "classical idea" on the table to bring back the surf soap TV series for a new generation and he's just waiting for the right script.
He tells The Hollywood Reporter, "We still don't have a script that's makeable (but) I think it's a big opportunity.
"This is a comedy, and I think we have a very interesting take - a classical idea that will be fresh for the world audience."
