Abrams - J.j. Abrams Relocating To London For Star Wars
Director J.J. Abrams is relocating his family to London so he can film the new Star Wars movie in the U.K.
The sci-fi moviemaker is taking charge of a new installment in the legendary space franchise, Star Wars: Episode Vii, and bosses at Disney, the studio behind the venture, have decided to shoot the blockbuster in Britain.
Abrams has agreed to move his family to London, but admits he is dreading the prospect of uprooting his children.
Speaking at the Produced By conference, he is quoted by Britain's The Guardian as saying, "(It) really does make me insane... When you're 13 and 14, it's like, 'F**k that, I don't care what the movie is'..."
He adds of the Star Wars project, "It is so massive and so important to people. I think the key to moving forward on something like this is honouring but not revering what came before."
All six of the previous Star Wars movies have included some filming in the U.K. The new movie is due to begin shooting in early 2014.
Abrams is married to Katie MCGrath and they have three children together - sons August and Henry, and daughter Gracie.
