Gruff-voiced rapper Ja Rule is set to expand his acting portfolio in a new hip-hop comedy sitcom.
The rapper recently revealed he has several reality TV projects in the works, one featuring new artists signed to his record label, the Murder Inc., and another that will focus on his home life.
And now he's revealed a new scripted series is also in the works.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "I am doing a sitcom, a real written sitcom, so that (sic) not reality, we are doing the TV thing and we are having a good time, and the movie thing, so it (sic) working."
But the hip-hop star is being scarce with details: “I am not shopping any of the deals, they are actually deals that we got in the works already with stations. I’m not gonna name the stations at this moment, but they will be out real soon so holla."
Ja Rule, real name Jeffrey Atkins, has previously enjoyed acting roles in films including The Fast and the Furious and Scary Movie 3.
