Singer/songwriter Jack Johnson dedicated his set at the Bonnaroo music festival to Mumford & Sons on Saturday (15Jun13) after they pulled out of the Tennessee event and he landed their headlining slot.

Johnson was recruited to replace the folk rockers after they cancelled their appearance following bassist Ted Dwane's surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain.

After taking to the stage with a four-piece band, the Hawaiian-born star showed his love for the British group, declaring, "We want to dedicate this whole set to Ted Dwane and all of Mumford & Sons."

He also covered the Grammy Award winners' hit The Cave during his two-hour set.

At a press conference on Friday (14Jun13), Johnson revealed he was already on his way to the festival when he received a phone call offering him the job.

He explained, "As soon as I said yes, I said, 'Holy s**t. I gotta learn a lot of chords and a lot of words really quickly.'"

Day Two of Bonnaroo also featured performances by R. Kelly, Bjork, Solange Knowles, Nas and 'Weird Al' Yankovic.
