Jacksons Search For New Pop Familyby Contributor | 11 April 2007
Three members of the Jackson family are to help search for a family of pop superstars.
Jermaine, Tito and LaToya Jackson will appear as judges on Pop Dynasty, an X Factor-style competition to be shown on the American television channel CBS, Hollywood trade paper Variety reports.
Although precise details have yet to be hammered out, it is thought the show will feature a number of performance challenges as well as a focus on how the family interact as a group.
CBS reality television expert Ghen Maynard and other executives were attracted to the project due to the twist on the singing competition, Variety claims.
The presence of three members of the famous Jackson clan was also said to have persuaded them to go ahead with the project.
At present Michael and Janet Jackson are not thought to be part of the project.
Jermaine last appeared on screens in the UK's Celebrity Big Brother, where he impressed viewers and emerged as the competition's runner-up.
LaToya meanwhile appeared in the reality television show Armed and Famous and Tito acted as a judge on the BBC's music competition Just The Two Of Us.
