Jada Pinkett-Smith and her husband Will Smith have vehemently denied reports they are to end their marriage. A story by U.S. magazine InTouch Weekly quoted an insider as saying the couple had separated, sending a frenzy of rumours around the internet on Tuesday (23rd August 2011), reports People Magazine.
The famous duo, who are often recognised for their solid relationship, issued a statement late last night insisting their marriage was "intact", saying, "Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of reports, the rumours circulating about our relationship are completely false.are still together. Our marriage is intact". Although some commentators aired concerns about the use of the world "intact", Will's son Trey took to his Twitter to echo the couple's comments, saying, "BreakingNews: After 13 years of marriage, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have decided to separate - @intouchweekly Not True #ItsAllLies" The couple married on New Year's Eve in 1997 after first meeting on the set of Smith's 1990 cult sitcom 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air'. Pinkett-Smith had auditioned for the role of her future husband's girlfriend, but failed to land the part.
The couple have two children together, 13-year-old actor Jaden Smith and 10-year-old singing sensation WILLOW SMITH.
