British funnyman James Corden has thrilled fans by promising to write more episodes of his hit TV comedy Gavin & Stacey.
The star became a household name in his native U.K. after creating the hit series with co-star Ruth Jones, but has gone on to international acclaim thanks to his role in One Man, Two Guvnors when the production transferred from London's West End to Broadway.
He won a prestigious Tony Award for his role in the stage show earlier this year (Jun12) and has been offered a number of big screen projects, but Corden is adamant he will not turn his back on Gavin & Stacey.
He says, "It would be a crime not to (write more episodes), it's a great show. Writing with Ruth is a gift, I definitely plan on doing some more."
After Twitter erupted with questions about when the show will return, Corden insisted he is currently too busy to concentrate on writing more episodes.
He wrote, "Getting loads of messages about a Gavin and Stacey special. I'm sorry to say there are no plans right now I'm afraid, but maybe one day! (sic)"
