James Franco - James Franco 'Sad' About U.s. Soaps Axe

James Franco is "sad" about the recent cancellation of two top U.S. soap operas, as the shows were "always around" in his childhood.
TV bosses at Abc announced in April (11) that All My Children and One Life to Live would not be renewed after their current season, and Franco, who is a fan of the genre, having appeared in a recurring role in General Hospital since 2009, is upset about the axe.
He tells Access Hollywood, "I'm sad. They're just something that has always been around since I've been alive... I'm sad that it's possible they won't be there in the same way."
Franco is now hoping his show is not the next to face the cut, adding, "General Hospital, in particular, is full of people that I'm friends with. They've become collaborators, so I would be very, very sad if that suddenly didn't exist any more."
