Janet Jackson has rescheduled three dates on her Australian tour in order to attend the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray.
Janet Jackson has been forced to reschedule three dates on her Australian tour after they clashed with the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray.
The medic is currently facing manslaughter charges over the death of the 'Together Again' hitmaker's brother Michael and Janet - who will make up for the missed shows with an extra date on November 3 - believes she needs to be with her family while the trial is going on.
She explained in a statement: "When I planned these shows, the schedule in California was completely different. After talking with my family last night, I decided we must be together right now."
Janet, 45, also has the full backing of concert promoter Paul Dainty, who said he is looking forward to her returning to the Number Ones tour when she can but understands she needs to be with her family right now.
He said: "While Janet and our company apologise for any inconvenience for the reschedule of the Melbourne shows, we thank Janet for the great and successful concerts in Perth and Adelaide and eagerly await her return. Our thoughts and prayers are with Janet and the entire Jackson family."
