Recovered jazz star Al Jarreau has been discharged from hospital - and is set to make a return to the stage on Tuesday (03Aug10).
The singer underwent treatment for heart problems after collapsing on 22 July (10), moments before he was due to perform at a music festival in Barcelonnette, in the southern French Alps.
At one point, his condition was deemed critical but the star has since fought his way back to full health and he was discharged from hospital in Marseille on Sunday (01Aug10).
He is now preparing to resume his European tour with a concert in Hanau, Germany on Tuesday.
Jarreau called off three gigs in Germany, Austria and Slovakia last month (Jul10) to allow himself time to recover.
A message on his official website reads: "Mr. Jarreau now expects to complete the remainder of his Europe tour (Hanau and onward), and expects to be able to perform all other scheduled concerts in the USA, Japan, and elsewhere."
