Jason Isaacs would have "sharpened pencils" to be in 'Cars 2'.

The actor was "thrilled" to be asked to voice the characters Siddeley and Leland Turbo in the Disney Pixar movie and admits he accepted the job before finding out exactly what was entailed because John Lasseter was the director.

Speaking at the UK premiere of 'Cars 2' in London's Whitehall Gardens yesterday (17.07.11), Jason told BANG Showbiz: "If John Lasseter had asked me to come and sharpen pencils I would've done that. I am thrilled to be in a Pixar film.

"John is a genius. I was told he wanted me to be in 'Cars 2' and I said, 'I'm In.' And someone said, 'Don't you want to know what it is?' I said, 'No.' I'm playing two minute parts but it doesn't make any difference. I would happily make his tea and follow him around.

"To be in a Pixar film was an honour. Every single one is a winner."

Sir Michael Caine lends his voice to the character of spy car Finn McMissile for the movie and he revealed he accepted the part because of his previous roles as a spy in 1965's 'The Ipcress File' and car crime caper 'The Italian Job' in 1969.

Michael said: "I started playing a spy and followed that up with a film about cars called 'The Italian Job', so when they told me I was going to be a spy who is a car then I thought, 'That is a sign, I'll do it.'

"'Cars 2' isn't like a cartoon, its more like an exercise in computer genius."

Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton was among the stars to attend the premiere and she was accompanied by her fiance Jade Jones and their three-year-old son Beau, who brought along a friend.
