JAY-Z and Eminem are set to team up for a series of "once-in-a-lifetime" concerts in their hometowns.
The rap giants will first headline a gig in Eminem's native Detroit, Michigan, performing at Comerica Park on 2 September (10).
The pair will then head to Jay-Z's hometown of New York City for a show at the new Yankee Stadium on 13 September (10).
The Stan hitmaker announced the news when the pair's baseball teams, the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers, met for a clash at Comerica Park on Wednesday (12May10).
He tells ESPN, "This is a once-in-a-lifetime set of shows, and I know we're both really going to bring it to our hometowns. The fans are going to love this and so am I. It's going to be historic."
Jay-Z adds, "These shows are like a dream come true. I've always hoped that hip-hop could play any stadium like other genres of music. How perfect is it that Eminem and I get to play our hometowns and show how far the live rap experience has come? Fun and historic, a great combination all around the board."
The pair previously collaborated on track Renegade, which featured on Jay-Z's 2001 album, The Blueprint.
