'Grease' star Jeff Conaway is "not getting any better" after being found unconscious.

The 60-year-old actor was hospitalised and then put in a medically induced coma last week after reportedly overdosing on prescription pills and is said to be in a bad condition.

A source told E! New: "He is not getting better. He was excessively using prescription meds."

Jeff - who is also known for appearing in "Taxi" - was taken to a Los Angeles hospital after reportedly laying unconscious for 10 hours and was found to be suffering from pneumonia and sepsis, a potentially lethal blood infection.

His manager Phil Brock told PEOPLE: "We are concerned it may have been an overdose but we have no way of knowing for sure."

He also confirmed that the star had turned his head over the weekend but there has been no other improvement.

Jeff has been open about his abuse of prediction drugs in the past, once claiming he was taking up to 54 OxyContin pills a day.
