Jeffrey Wright has been handed a role on the Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, it has been reported.
Wright, perhaps best known for his role as a CIA operative Felix Leiter in the 007 films Casino Royale and it's sequel Quantum of Solace, has landed the part of the 'District 3 tribute', Beetee, nickname 'Volts'. The electronics whiz has a rather large role in the Hunger Games novel and the appointment will see him join the host of other stars already cast in the film franchise based on SUZANNE COLLINS' novels.
Wright is the latest inductee of tributes set to star in the next instalment of the film, with Sam Claflin and Meta Golding already being cast as tributes to Districts 4 and 2 respectively.
After the massive success of the first instalment of the film, the adaptation of Catching Fire is already underway and will continue well into the next year. The highly anticipated sequel will hits cinemas on November 22nd 2013, and will see Jennifer Lawrence return to her commended role as protagonist Katniss Everdeen. The rest of the cast from the first movie, including Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks and Josh Hutcherson will also be return to the screen when the film is released.
