Jenni Rivera - Jenni Rivera's Family Announce Record Label Launch
The family of superstar Jenni Rivera has announced plans to set up a new record label in honour of the late singer's dream to help aspiring Latin talent.
Rivera died when her plane crashed in Mexico in December (12) and her family are eager to prolong her legacy by continuing her goal to support new acts.
The Los Angeles-based company, named Jre/Divina Music, was in the works in 2010 and Rivera and had already signed up bilingual singer Monica Padilla.
The label will also include a project by the singer's brother Juan Rivera and a Christian-themed album by Rivera's daughter Jacqie, who performed at her mother's memorial last year (12).
The star's sister Rosie Rivera says in a statement that the singer "had many expectations of this project as a label… we are putting a lot of energy to complete her dreams."
