Jeremy Irvine will star in the 'Woman in Black' sequel.

The 'War Horse' actor is set to lead the cast for the follow-up to Daniel Radcliffe's hit scare-fest, which has been titled, 'The Woman in Black: Angel of Death'.

Set four decades after the events of the original film, the sequel sees the spooky Eel Marsh House seized by the government during World War II and used to house a group of evacuated children. However, things take a scary turn when the children's arrival re-awakens the house's ghostly inhabitant.

Also joining the cast is Phoebe Fox, best known for her roles in TV shows 'Switch' and 'Black Mirror'.

The film's director Tom Harper said: ''Jeremy and Phoebe are fantastic actors to continue The Woman in Black's chilling tale. I'm looking forward to working with them both on the film and can't wait to start shooting with the pair.''

The knuckle-whitening script was written by Jon Croker based on an original story by Susan Hill, who penned the first film.

'The Woman in Black', which starred Radcliffe and was directed by James Watkins, became the most successful British horror film in over 20 years, grossing $130 million worldwide.
