Jessica Biel wants to play April O'Neil in the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' remake.
The 'Total Recall' actress admits she has always been a big fan of the original comic book series and if she was to star in the Jonathan Liebesman-directed project then she would want to play the flame-haired TV reporter.
She told Collider.com: ''I dig the Ninja Turtles. I always liked the Ninja Turtles - didn't they already make that movie though?
''I dig April, she's cool. She wore a yellow suit and she was a redhead. That was a great show, I loved it as a kid so sure! Yeah!''
The movie has reportedly been put back until May 2014 and producer Michael Bay recently revealed the forthcoming film will feature a ''complex back story''.
He said: ''Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read The Script. Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story.
''Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world.''
Should Jessica land the role, she will follow in the footsteps of Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played April in the 2007 computer-animated movie 'TMNT'.
