Jessica Chastain - Jessica Chastain Nervous About Hollywood Career
Jessica Chastain, the Hollywood newcomer currently starring in Terrence Malick's Palme d'Or winner 'The Tree of Life', says she is worried that audiences will eventually become 'sick of her', reports the Washington Times. Jessica Chastain plays Brad Pitt's wife in Malick's surreal 1950's drama.
A veteran stage actress, Miss Chastain has only recently made the breakthrough into Hollywood. As well as 'The Tree of Life', she has three other movies tentatively scheduled for release this year, 'Coriolanus' with Ralph Fiennes, 'Take Shelter' with Michael Shannon and alongside Sam Worthington in 'The Fields'. The actress says she is anxious about how audiences will react to her, saying, "I'm just nervous that I'm going to be the newcomer that everyone's sick of, and they don't even know my name. People are like, 'Why is this girl in every single movie I'm seeing this fall?". Chastain has also completed work on Al Pacino's 'Wilde Salome' and on the crime-drama 'The Wettest Country in the World' with Tom Hardy. The 30-year-old has also reunited with Terrence Malick to star in his forthcoming untitled movie with Rachel McAdams and Javier Bardem. On her first meeting with the reclusive director Chastain said, "I met him at a restaurant and he was wearing a very brightly coloured shirt.He couldn't be more different from that perception. He's only reclusive when it comes to the press."
Jessica Chastain made her screen debut in 2004, appearing in the television movie adaptation of 'Dark Shadows'. She later made appearances in series' such as 'Law & Order: Trial by Jury', 'ER', 'Veronica Mars' and 'Close to Home'.
