Jessie J is set to be given a mobility scooter so she can get around the Mobo Awards easily.

The 'Do It Like A Dude' singer is up for four prizes at the ceremony which takes place at the SECC in Glasgow, Scotland, tonight (05.10.11) and is set to perform even though she is wearing a special support boot after breaking her left foot in June.

Organisers want to make sure the injured pop star is comfortable during the night and have requested she be provided her with a "pimped up" motorised scooter to get around the venue.

An insider told BANG Showbiz: "As Jessie is nominated for four awards and performing, she's potentially going to be up and down from the stage five times. We don't want her to do anything that might hamper her injury so we're looking at some ways to make it easier for her."

Jessie - who had to cancel a number of festival and live appearances, including a support slot on Katy Perry's tour, due to the injury - is up for Best Album for 'Who You Are', Best Newcomer, Best UK Act and Best Video and Best Song for 'Do It Like a Dude'.

The 23-year-old singer is set to fight it out with Adele - who has four nominations - in the Best UK Act, Best Album and Best Song categories, with the soul singer nominated for her worldwide hit LP '21' and track 'Someone Like You'.

The 16th annual MOBO Awards, in association with Lebara Mobile, take place this evening and extra tickets are available at www.mobo.com.

The annual ceremony - which recognises music of black origin in the UK - is televised live on BBC Three at 10pm with highlights being broadcast on Friday October 7 on BBC One at 11.45pm.
