Duran Duran star John Taylor has cancelled his appearance at Britain's upcoming Latitude Festival to continue working on the band's new album.

Taylor was due to perform a solo set at the Suffolk, England music event on 19 July (13), but he has pulled out of the slot in order to attend studio sessions for the next Duran Duran record.

A post on the group's website reads, "It is with great regret that John Taylor has today been forced to cancel his Latitude Festival appearance on the 19th of July due to a scheduling conflict.

"Duran Duran are currently in the studio working on their forthcoming album and have been juggling dates with both their producer and various other collaborators to try to get the record done as soon as possible.

"With so many people involved, this has proved, at times, challenging and, in this instance, despite every attempt to reorganize the dates, it has proved impossible and John’s commitment to the band has had to take priority. John is truly disappointed to have to cancel on this occasion and hopes that fans will understand."
